Financial services disclosures

This page puts the commercial relationship, pricing limits and comparison method in one place. It does not replace the processing agreement issued by the processor.

Referral relationship and compensation

Pcnaid Inc. is an independent referral partner. We are not a payment processor, an acquiring bank or a financial institution.

We refer applicants to North American Bancard / CardConnect CoPilot. All payment processing services, underwriting, risk management and daily funding are provided directly by the approved processor and its acquiring sponsor bank.

The provider pays Pcnaid for referrals. Pcnaid may therefore receive compensation when it introduces an applicant to a provider.

Target pricing is not guaranteed pricing.

The published target markup is 5 basis points plus 5¢ per transaction over interchange.

That figure is the pricing requested when an application is submitted. It is a target, never a promise or guarantee. Approval is never guaranteed. The processor's underwriting department alone determines approval, the final rate and all account terms according to the applicant's business profile.

This compares processor markup and monthly fees only. Interchange and card-brand assessments are set by the card networks, apply equally to all providers, and are not included.

How comparisons are calculated

The comparison is a model, not a competing provider's quote and not a prediction of the rate any merchant will receive.

The same merchant inputs

Each model uses the same monthly card volume, average ticket, derived transaction count and card-present or card-not-present selection.

Four interchange-plus rate cards

The calculator evaluates the published pricing structures encoded for Helcim, Stax, Dharma and Host Merchant Services.

Markup and fixed fees only

For each provider, the model adds its percentage markup, per-transaction markup and applicable monthly fee. It does not add interchange or card-brand assessments.

The lowest modelled rival

The comparison shown is the least expensive of those four modelled providers for the selected inputs. A savings figure is the difference between that result and Pcnaid target pricing.

Published provider pricing can change, and a provider may underwrite a particular business differently from its public rate card. The model should be checked against the provider's current written offer before a merchant makes a decision.

What a savings statement means

It is derived from published bands

When the site describes a savings floor, it means the smallest modelled difference across the volume bands actually published, not a selected best case.

It is not an account promise

The final Pcnaid-referred account rate is assigned by processor underwriting. A competitor may also offer a merchant pricing different from its published rate card.

It excludes pass-through costs

Interchange and card-brand assessments are outside every markup comparison. A merchant's all-in effective rate will therefore be higher than the markup shown.

Names and card-brand marks

Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express set their own network charges. Their names and marks, and the names and marks of every provider discussed on this site, are the property of their respective owners. References are for identification and comparison; they do not state or imply ownership by Pcnaid.
